This work started with doomscrolling. I'd fallen into a rabbit hole of self-proclaimed internet anthropologists on Instagram, people applying academic frameworks to brain-rot content, and somewhere between the reels, my brain started doing it automatically too, reading meaning into everything. During one of those half-laying, phone-in-hand sessions I noticed my jewellery tray, usually just rings and earrings; had quietly overflowed with trinkets spilling past its edges. It felt like an exact image of what was happening in my head. Too much input, not enough container. The visuals are taken directly from that tray, then manipulated and distorted to replicate that feeling. The music was composed in Strudel, with the voice-over generated through speech synthesis, and final audio edited in Ableton Live.
Still visual accompanying the final video output
